Mikati and Army Commander from UNIFIL Headquarters: Those Found Guilty Will Face Punishment

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati affirmed Lebanon's commitment to "UNIFIL" and Resolution 1701. Mikati's remarks came after his visit, along with Army Commander General Joseph Aoun, to the headquarters of the international forces operating in southern Lebanon, "UNIFIL," in Naqoura, where they held a meeting with the UNIFIL Commander, General Aroldo Lazaro. Mikati stated, "The environment in which the international soldiers operate is a good environment," noting that "investigations into the killing of the Irish soldier are ongoing, and those found guilty will face punishment."
