Agreement Worth $27 Billion Between TotalEnergies and Iraq

TotalEnergies confirmed today, Wednesday, that it has reached an agreement with Iraq regarding its $27 billion project, noting that "this sends a strong message about foreign investment in the country." Iraq announced on Tuesday its approval of a smaller stake of 30% in the TotalEnergies project, which has been significantly delayed, reviving an agreement that Baghdad hopes will attract foreign investments back to a country that has suffered from war.
