Israeli Spyware in Armenia

Researchers have discovered that the Israeli-made "Pegasus" spyware is being deployed against targets throughout Armenia, including journalists at a news organization funded by the U.S. government. A team of researchers confirmed at least 12 cases where spyware developed by the Israeli-based NSO Group was used against officials, journalists, and organizers in Armenia. According to legal adviser Natalia Krabiva, "the targeting is widespread." The company previously denied accusations of wrongdoing and stated that "its program is used to combat terrorism and serious crimes."
