The German police announced the arrest of four individuals involved in organizing illegal immigration from Syria and Iraq to the European Union via Belarus, after their network smuggled at least 300 migrants. It was noted that two suspects were apprehended in the town of Forst, near Berlin, while two others were captured in the capital. The police indicated that 14 raids were conducted in several regions of Germany.
The four suspects are from Syria and Iraq, and the search is ongoing for at least two other individuals. They are suspected of unlawfully bringing at least 300 refugees to Germany, transporting them by car or bus for amounts ranging between 3,500 and 10,000 euros. The journey to Europe reportedly begins in the Middle East, predominantly from Dubai or Beirut, passing through Belarus and Poland under perilous conditions, according to the police.
