Pope Francis Calls for Negotiations Between Russia and the West

Leonid Sevastyanov, the head of the World Union of Advocates of the Old Faith, quoted Pope Francis as saying that the urgent initiation of negotiations between Russia and the West is the best solution for all parties involved in the Ukraine conflict. He stated, "There is no alternative to negotiations, and they will begin sooner or later, but after great destruction and human sorrow, so the earlier negotiations start, the better for all parties in the conflict."
