Missing and Bodies Following Immigrant Boat Capsizing off Greek Island

The Greek coast guard reported today, Friday, that "three people have died, and 12 of 17 are believed to be missing after a boat carrying migrants sank off the island of Mykonos." They added, "Search efforts that began in the early hours of the morning resulted in the recovery of the bodies of two women and a man." A coast guard official stated that "the efforts also resulted in the rescue of two men, a Syrian and a Palestinian, who said that 17 people were with them on the boat." The official noted that "four coast guard ships and three helicopters are participating in the search and rescue mission."
