Macron Concerned About the Situation in Georgia

French President Emmanuel Macron expressed concern about Georgia facing pressures following the troubling events that occurred last week, an issue the European Union cannot overlook. During a joint press conference with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in Paris, Macron stated, "Georgia is under some severe pressure, and I hope it can find peace." He pointed out that former political leaders currently detained, whose health has deteriorated, should either be released or have their health conditions assessed. The aides of former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, who is currently imprisoned, have called for his release so that he can receive urgent medical care.
