Israel Plans to Build Energy Storage Project

The Israeli Ministry of Energy announced today, Tuesday, that it is "moving forward with a plan to build the first large-scale energy storage project in the country." It explained that "the plan involves the construction of four storage facilities with a total capacity of about 800 megawatts, set to be built in phases according to system needs and utilizing different storage technologies." The Israeli National Planning Council has approved the project, which will be presented to the government for approval.
