Bank Assaults Continue: Armed Soldier Opens Fire

The central news agency reported that a military patrol detained depositor Mohamed Q., a retired soldier, after he attempted to forcibly enter the Blom Bank branch in Sidon this morning, firing a gun at the bank's entrance. One of the mobile phone cameras documented the moment he opened fire at the bank's entrance before managing to enter. Sources from "Voice of Lebanon" indicated that the aforementioned depositor was unsuccessful in benefiting from the Sayrafa platform, so he went to his car to retrieve his weapon and demanded entry to the bank. When he failed, he opened fire. This caused chaos for several minutes, creating fear among employees and customers inside the bank. The Depositors' Association posted a video documenting the shooting on their Twitter account. Additionally, there have been reports of another bank being stormed in Nabatieh.
