The young Turkish woman Nisa Alptekin has earned the title of the youngest candidate for the parliamentary elections in Turkey after running on the Justice and Development Party's list from Izmir. Alptekin is a university student studying in the Department of Social Services at Atatürk University. She joined the Justice and Development Party at the age of 18 and subsequently ran for parliament from the first district in Izmir.
