Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi announced today, Friday, that "Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi will visit Japan between July 4 and July 7 to inspect the Fukushima nuclear power plant." Japan intends to discharge water from the Fukushima facility, operated by Tokyo Electric Power Company, into the sea this summer, raising concerns among neighboring countries. The plant was damaged during the nuclear disaster in 2011.
