Imran Khan Submits Petitions Before Pakistani Courts

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, is scheduled to submit petitions to several courts today, Thursday, requesting bail to avoid being re-arrested due to an increasing list of charges against him. His lawyer, Jauhar Khan, noted that "Imran Khan will today head to the anti-terrorism court, the anti-corruption court, and the Supreme Court in the capital, Islamabad, to submit bail petitions concerning more than 12 cases." In an online address to party officials yesterday, Imran Khan stated, "I am ready for arrest." Additionally, the army issued a statement yesterday confirming that "all planners and perpetrators of the violent events on May 9 must be brought to justice."
