The Philippines summoned its ambassador to Beijing on Monday, a day after accusing the Chinese Coast Guard of using water cannons against its boats in the disputed South China Sea, according to President Ferdinand Marcos. Marcos told reporters, "Our foreign minister summoned the Chinese ambassador and handed him a note that includes photos and videos of what happened, and we are waiting for their response."
