Title: Security Measures by the Army in May

The Army Command - Directorate of Guidance announced the arrest of 1,194 individuals of various nationalities for their involvement in multiple crimes and misdemeanors, including drug trafficking, theft, smuggling, possession of weapons and prohibited items, and wandering within Lebanese territory without legal residencies, as well as driving vehicles and motorcycles without legal documentation. These actions resulted from the security measures taken by army units in various Lebanese regions during May 2023. The statement added: "The number of weapons seized amounted to 102 of different types, which included quantities of light and medium ammunition, a number of vehicles and motorcycles, in addition to a quantity of drugs and various materials prepared for smuggling, as well as several communication devices."
