Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri received a phone call today, Saturday, from the acting Foreign Minister of South Sudan, "Deng Daw," discussing efforts from both sides to enhance and support the establishment of a permanent ceasefire in Sudan, based on the Egyptian-South Sudanese initiative in this regard. Minister Shukri emphasized during the call that Egypt and South Sudan are among the most affected countries by the ongoing conflict in Sudan, stressing that the interests of the Sudanese people remain the primary concern and objective behind the efforts of both countries.
