The Presidential Path is Blocked... No Session on Thursday!

Discussions continue regarding the session called by Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri to elect a new president on Thursday, October 13. In this context, former MP Wahbi Qatisha ruled out the possibility of a session occurring on Thursday, believing that "the resistance team does not want to secure the quorum." He considered that the visit of a French Foreign Ministry delegation to Lebanon is "related to the presidential deadline, but unfortunately, MP Gebran Bassil is working towards a vacuum and does not want a president as long as he feels excluded. He wants to form a government that suits him and in which he has a significant share." Thus, there is still no prospect emerging that the Lebanese are hoping for to sense any change in the context they have lived for over three years, during which crises have accumulated, and they can only wait further under the burdens that have long exceeded their capacity to endure.
