France Bans the Use of TikTok!

French Minister of Civil Service, Stanislas Guerini, indicated today, Friday, on his official Twitter account, that France will ban the use of the video-sharing application TikTok, owned by China, on the work phones of civil service employees. He stated, "In order to protect the cybersecurity of our administrations and civil service employees, the government has decided to ban recreational applications like TikTok on the work phones of civil service employees." In recent weeks, several Western governments and institutions, such as the British Parliament and the Dutch and Belgian governments, as well as the New Zealand Parliament, have banned the TikTok application.
