Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky informed the United Nations that a crime has been committed against his nation, calling for the enforcement of "just punishment" against Russia, which includes depriving it of its veto power. In a recorded speech before the UN General Assembly, Zelensky outlined "five non-negotiable conditions for peace," specifying that these conditions include punishing Russia for its aggression, restoring security to Ukraine, respecting Ukrainian territorial integrity, and providing security guarantees.
The Ukrainian president stated, "I speak on behalf of a country that has been forced to defend itself, but we have a formula for peace. I am addressing all of you who want to listen to ways to achieve peace; I will present this formula that works not just for us but for all people who may find themselves in similar circumstances to ours." He also emphasized that "this formula punishes crime, protects life, restores security and regional peace, guarantees safety, and provides determination. These are the five fundamental conditions for peace." Additionally, Zelensky called for the establishment of a fund to compensate Ukraine.
