The Algerian energy company Sonatrach has delivered its first commercial shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the Italian company ENI through the new floating LNG regasification terminal in Piombino, Italy. In its statement, Sonatrach said, "We intend to increase our quantities to this new port on a regular basis, thus enhancing our central role in securing supplies to Europe, and Italy in particular."
