Hany Shakir's Response to Being Scammed During His Concert in Bahrain

Egyptian artist Hany Shakir was a victim of fraud during his recent concert in Bahrain, as the promoter fled without paying the artist and his band. However, Hany Shakir decided to perform for the attending audience despite the incident and did not apologize for holding the concert.

According to Kuwaiti media personality Fajr Al-Saeed, in a tweet on her Twitter account, the fleeing promoter also failed to settle the hotel expenses that hosted the concert during Eid al-Fitr. Fajr Al-Saeed shared a picture of the promoter's passport and confirmed that he escaped without paying all parties involved. She mentioned that she booked 20 tickets for the concert and managed to recover the money from the promoter's partner, urging the Bahrain Ministry of Interior to investigate the incident.

In a statement at the beginning of the concert, Hany Shakir addressed the audience, saying: "I greatly respect your presence with me, despite the strange circumstances that have occurred with me and my band at this concert, the promoter's flight, and his failure to adhere to paying us our fees, but I assure you that my presence with you is a million times better than receiving my payment."

After his concert in Bahrain, Hany Shakir apologized to the audience for the situation that arose before the performance due to the promoter's disappearance before providing Hany, his band, and the hotel with the agreed-upon amount.
