The 33rd General Assembly of the Asian Football Confederation, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain with the presence of continental federation presidents, entrusted the organization of the 19th edition of the Asian Cup to the Kingdom, which submitted its hosting request through the Saudi Football Federation in February 2020, under the slogan "Together for the Future of Asia."
