A 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck off the eastern coast of the Philippines, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Local authorities have warned residents of potential damage and risks of aftershocks and a tsunami. The agency reported that the earthquake occurred approximately 120 km from Catanduanes Island, off the coast of Luzon, the main island in the archipelago.
