The Attorney General, Judge Ghassan Oweidat, referred the case of the abduction of Saudi citizen Mishari Al-Mutairi in Beirut on May 28 to the military judiciary. He was transferred to Bekaa and was rescued by army intelligence on the Lebanese-Syrian border two days after his kidnapping. Judge Oweidat decided to refer the six detained individuals in this case for impersonating a security figure and opening fire on army personnel.
