"Did the Central Bank of Lebanon Lose Control"? .. Mikati Clarifies!

The following statement was issued by the media office of Prime Minister Najib Mikati: There is circulating talk attributed to sources of the Prime Minister "that the Central Bank of Lebanon has lost control of the market, and that it may be difficult to regain order, except in the event of a significant political step." The Prime Minister categorically denies this statement and affirms that efforts are ongoing to address financial conditions. Any position from the Prime Minister will be issued directly or through his media office, and this clarification was necessary.
