French Party Leader Calls for Country's Withdrawal from NATO

Florian Philippot, leader of the right-wing French party "Les Patriotes," urged France to withdraw from NATO, stating that "the alliance and the United States are pushing Europe towards a world war." He added, "More and more French people are tired of this race towards a third world war. We see that we are being urged to engage in this conflict, although it shouldn't be that way. NATO and the United States are driving us to send weapons to Ukraine; if we continue to listen to NATO and the United States, we will never achieve peace and we'll enter a third world war." He continued: "We want France to regain its senses and leave NATO. This alliance needs to be dissolved, and there is no reason for its existence; it is a war organization, as evident from recent years. We must stop the global war agenda against Russia and China; this is absolute madness."
