The Egyptian presidency announced in a statement today, Monday, that President Abdel Fattah Sisi and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed to "immediately elevate diplomatic relations between the two countries and exchange ambassadors." This came during a phone call Sisi made to Erdogan to congratulate him on winning the Turkish presidential elections.
