Colonel Amadou Abdou Rahman of the Niger Army announced on official television that a French military aircraft landed this morning, Thursday, in Niger, despite the closing of airspace following the announcement of a military coup last night. Neither the French Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense nor the French military have responded to requests for comment.
