Title: Minister of Justice Refuses to Involve Lebanese Judiciary in Salamé Case

The media office of Minister of Justice Henri confirmed today, Monday, that no official statement was issued during the consultative meeting held at the Prime Minister's office. The Minister of Justice rejected the idea of placing the responsibility on the Lebanese judiciary following the issuance of an arrest warrant by the French judiciary, urging that the case of Riad Salamé should be approached based on this warrant to determine the necessary actions and to call for Salamé's resignation. He noted that the Lebanese judiciary will fulfill its duties fully as required at this stage.
