Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced today, Wednesday, the cancellation of a Quad summit that was scheduled to take place in Sydney next week, due to the absence of U.S. President Joe Biden, who postponed his visit because of negotiations regarding raising the U.S. debt ceiling in Washington. Albanese mentioned in a press conference that "the leaders of Australia, the United States, India, and Japan will instead meet on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Japan early next week."
