Explosion at Indonesian Energy Company's Refinery

On Sunday, Indonesia's state energy company "Pertamina" announced that an explosion at a refinery owned by one of its subsidiaries in West Indonesia resulted in nine injuries. This incident follows the deaths of over twenty individuals in two other fires last month. "PT Kilang Pertamina International" stated in a news release that the explosion, which occurred late Saturday night, caused "minor" injuries from glass shards and damaged several houses in the city of Dumai on Sumatra Island. An investigation is still underway to determine the cause of the explosion. No comments have been made regarding the impact on production or supplies, but the company stated that the country's fuel stock is "secure."
