US Justice Department Shuts Down Websites Linked to Hezbollah

The US Department of Justice announced today, Thursday, that it has shut down 13 websites used by Hezbollah and associated entities. The websites are: "moqawama.org," "almanarnews.org," "manarnews.org," "almanar-tv.org," "alshahid.org," "almanar-tv.net," "alidaamouch.com," "Ibrahim-alsayed.net," and eight sites registered under "Verisign Inc. - manartv.net," as well as "naimkassem.net." Assistant Attorney General Matthew G. stated, "The Justice Department will continue to enforce economic sanctions as part of our commitment to deploy all available tools against threats from both hostile nation-states and terrorist organizations."
