A traffic accident that occurred this Wednesday morning in Algeria resulted in the death of 8 people, while 17 others were injured. The accident was caused by a passenger bus veering off the road and crashing into the metal barrier. Colonel Khaidir Gouider, the head of the media and traffic coordination center at the National Gendarmerie, confirmed that the fatal accident was recorded in the early hours. Gouider indicated that the incident took place on the East-West highway, specifically on the stretch linking Bordj Bou Arreridj to Algiers. Local authorities have opened an investigation into the accident.
