A new crime against childhood has been committed in Beirut in a public location.
The Governor of Beirut, Judge Marwan Aboud, requested that the Beirut Municipality's stadiums committee conduct the necessary investigations as swiftly as possible regarding the contractor Mr. Mohammad Dahar, who is accused of raping a child, and to terminate his contract with the Beirut Municipality immediately. He is also to be banned from entering all municipal stadiums and public parks. According to press reports, the victimized child, who was raped in the Qasqas playground, is no more than 7 years old. Later, the child confided in his father about what happened, which led security forces to be informed of the incident and subsequently apprehend the perpetrator.
