American businessman and owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, stated that the content of the "New York Times" is propagandistic and described it as "not interesting," making it impossible to read its feed. Musk wrote on his Twitter account: "The real tragedy of @NYTimes is that their propaganda isn’t even interesting—it's unreadable. They would have many more real followers if they published better."
On Thursday, the "New York Times" announced that it would not pay for verification badges for its accounts on Twitter and would not cover the subscription for its employees to "Twitter Blue."
