America Seeks Sweden's NATO Membership by July

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs Derek Hogan indicated today, Friday, that the United States is looking for Turkey and Hungary to ratify Sweden's request to join NATO before the alliance's summit in July in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius. Hogan added in a phone briefing, "It's clear that this will be an ongoing part of our discussions and our communication with the new Turkish government."
