The Russian Ministry of Defense stated today, Wednesday, that "the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia discussed military cooperation between the two countries with the commander of the Iranian ground forces." Relations between Russia and Iran, both subjected to Western economic sanctions, have strengthened in military and other fields since Russia commenced its war in Ukraine 18 months ago. Official media reported the arrival of an Iranian military delegation in Moscow on Monday.
