A conflict occurred between members of the Assakir family in the town of Majdal Akkour over the packing of a pickup truck with apples. This resulted in Sh. A. being shot with 9 bullets, leading to his transfer to the Lady Maritime Hospital in Jbeil, where he soon passed away. Three others were also injured. A military force and the internal security's elite unit arrived at the scene to control the situation.
