The Minister of Agriculture in the caretaker government, Abbas El-Haj Hassan, stated that "the cholera crisis is a nationwide issue," confirming that "the epidemic is not present all over Lebanon." In an interview on Al-Manar TV, El-Haj Hassan mentioned that "random samples will be taken from crops," clarifying that "if they are contaminated, they will be destroyed and compensation will be provided to the owners of the crops." He affirmed that "export operations are ongoing and have not stopped due to the epidemic," adding, "there should not be a state of panic that could affect the internal and external markets."
