After negotiations that lasted for hours, MP Cynthia Zarazir emerged from the Byblos Bank branch in Antelias. Zarazir stated upon her exit, "I am a depositor and a citizen who came to claim my right after a series of procedures requested from the bank, but there was evasion and we reached an unjust solution. There was pressure to sign an arbitrary paper," adding, "I did not receive my right, which is the money in my account at the bank."
Zarazir's lawyer also pointed out that Zarazir obtained the amount she needed, regardless of its value, and that the bank was pressuring her to sign a paper regarding confidentiality about what had occurred. Zarazir had entered the bank at nine in the morning to request a part of her deposit for health reasons. The procedures requested from the bank had led to evasion and an unjust resolution. The lawyer reiterated that Zarazir got the amount she needed regardless of its value, and that the bank was pressuring her to sign a paper about non-disclosure of what happened.
