China: Allegations of Espionage Activities in Cuba are False

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin stated today, Monday, that "the allegations that China is using Cuba as a base for espionage activities are false." In a press conference, Wang Wenbin said, "Regarding the alleged spying activities of China in Cuba, this is false information." He added, "Over the past two days, we have seen the U.S. government and U.S. media publish a large amount of contradictory information regarding these claims. This shows how the United States contradicts itself." Wang noted that "the United States has no chance of driving a wedge between China and Cuba. We are loyal friends."
