Al-Burhan Appoints Malik Akar as Vice President of the Sovereignty Council

The Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, issued a decree today, Friday, relieving the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, known as Hemeti, from the position of Vice President of the Council effective immediately. Al-Burhan also appointed former rebel leader Malik Akar as Vice President of the Sovereignty Council. Subsequently, he issued a decision appointing Lieutenant General Shams Al-Din Kabashi as Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces.
