White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre stated on Monday that Secretary of State Antony Blinken held constructive talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and other officials during his visit to Beijing, which was a positive step for U.S.-China relations. She added that Blinken emphasized the importance of keeping communication channels open during his two-day visit and affirmed that the United States will continue to use diplomatic means to raise its concerns as well as to achieve cooperation with China.
