A U.S. court has sentenced a man to over three years in prison for defrauding elderly women out of $1.5 million. Fola Alabi, 52, a resident of Richmond, Texas, deceived his victims from other states by using real images of U.S. Army generals, convincing them that he worked in distant countries, and professing his love for them online before starting to extract money from them, according to "Fox News." The court clarified that Alabi will serve three years behind bars, followed by three years of supervised release, and he is required to repay the full amounts he obtained from his victims, as well as forfeit his home, valued at $560,000.
