Abdel Fattah Moussa, the Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), announced that the organization is prepared for military intervention in Niger if ordered to do so. Moussa's statement came after a two-day meeting of West African military leaders in Accra, the capital of Ghana.
