Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned today, Wednesday, the Israeli police's incursion into Al-Aqsa Mosque and their clashes with worshippers, describing these actions within the mosque's precincts as a "red line" for Turkey. Erdogan stated: "On behalf of my country and my people, I denounce the vile acts committed against the first qibla of Muslims and call for an immediate halt to the attacks." He added: "This is called a policy of oppression, a policy of blood, and a policy of provocation. Turkey cannot remain silent and inactive in the face of these assaults." He further remarked: "The violation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and mocking the sanctity of the noble sanctuary is a red line for us."
