The "Unite Union" representing workers at Heathrow Airport announced on Friday the cancellation of strike actions that were scheduled at the airport after security staff accepted an agreement that includes wage improvements. The union stated, "More than 2000 employees accepted an offer to increase wages by between 15.5 and 17.5 percent, and the strike at the airport has been canceled as a result." Workers had already organized 18 days of strikes in recent months.
