What Did Erdoğan Request from Sweden for Its NATO Membership?

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan informed NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during a phone call on Sunday that Sweden must stop the protests organized by supporters of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Stockholm for Ankara to agree to its request to join the alliance. The Turkish presidency stated in a message that Erdoğan told Stoltenberg that Turkey has a constructive position, but changing Sweden's anti-terrorism laws to meet Ankara's demands "makes no sense" while supporters of the PKK continue to hold protests on its territory.
