On September 29, 2022, an extraordinary tri-party meeting was held in Ras Naqoura, chaired by the Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon and Mission Chief, Major General Aroldo Lazaro. A delegation of Lebanese army officers, led by the Lebanese government's coordinator with the United Nations forces, Brigadier General Munir Shihadeh, also attended.
The Lebanese side addressed the daily and repeated Israeli aggressions against Lebanese sovereignty on land, at sea, and in the air. They reaffirmed Lebanon's commitment to Resolution 1701 and all its provisions. Additionally, they called on the United Nations to exert maximum pressure on the Israeli enemy to curb its hostile practices.
The Lebanese side emphasized the necessity of the Israeli withdrawal from all occupied Lebanese territories, including the Shebaa Farms, the Kfarshouba Hills, the northern occupied section of the Ghajar area, and the 13 occupied areas where Lebanon has reservations about the blue line, as well as the 17 areas where there is a continuous violation of the blue line.
