The Royal Court Clarifies the Circumstance Preventing Bin Salman from Attending the Arab Summit

The Saudi Royal Court issued a statement on Sunday evening explaining the health circumstance that prevented Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman from attending the Arab Summit in Algeria. The statement said that King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud had directed the Crown Prince to represent the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the Arab Summit in the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. However, the medical team at the Royal Clinics recommended avoiding long-distance air travel without breaks.

The team advised to avoid potential ear pressure damage and impact on the middle ear. It continued by stating that the Crown Prince could not make the visit to Algeria, considering the lengthy travel time for a round trip within a period of no more than 24 hours.

The statement indicated that the Saudi monarch directed Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan to lead the Kingdom’s delegation at the summit. The Royal Court affirmed Saudi Arabia's support for the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria and its backing for all efforts to ensure the success of the summit.
