The Russian Ministry of Finance announced today, Tuesday, that the price of Russian Urals crude has risen to $58.63 per barrel in April, up from $47.85 in March. The ministry reported that the average price of Urals crude reached $51.05 between January and April, lower than the average price of $84.68 during the same period last year. This price is still below the barrel price of $70.52 in April 2022, and it is also lower than the price ceiling of $60 per barrel imposed by the European Union, the G7, and Australia in December to limit Moscow's ability to finance its war in Ukraine. The Russian budget estimates the average price of Urals crude at $70.1 per barrel for this year.
